In 2016, Independence Printage, Northwest Polite Society and KEXP teamed up to present Intergalactic Bowie Day. A day to celebrate the 69th Birthday of David Bowie, and the release of his newest record "Blackstar". Everything was made with the blessing of the artists label.

Artists from around the world were selected to make pieces celebrating the artist, which were distributed in tribute of the rock icon. Images covered Seattle and surrounding areas and a limited number of screen prints were created by select artists, along with a catalogue chronicling the event.

This print is inspired by the song Andy Warhol, and a co-tribute to Warhol's screen printed art
